The Division of Information Technology at Florida International University is currently seeking an ERP Application Developer III.
Diagnoses and resolves complex PeopleSoft Financials system-related problems to ensure the accuracy of business critical systems.
Researches questions with respect to both maintenance and development activities
Analyzes, designs and creates technical specifications for the PeopleSoft applications and functions.
Ensures that all relevant technical documentation is updated accordingly, including technical specs and changes to the PeopleSoft objects such as SQR, Application Engine, Record/Field definitions.
Lead effort in retrofitting code changes and enhancements. This includes writing new code and re-writing old code to ensure that the application of the fixes and patches will function seamlessly in the newly upgrade/patched environment.
Provides technical expertise and leadership while addressing problems related to systems integration, compatibility and multiple platform integration. This includes guidance related to general and portal-specific software design, development processes, security, infrastructure, migration paths, and deployment best practices.
Develops and customizes reports, interfaces and new processes using PeopleTools and other 3rd party tools such as SQL, SQR, PS/Query and XML to deliver required functionality.
Provides technical leadership to team members and management in all phases of the project's lifecycle: planning and prototyping, design, development, conversion, testing and deployment.
Interacts with Database Administrators, Network and other PantherSoft technical groups.
Provides expertise and advisement to junior Developers and Technical Analysts when necessary to resolve issues.
When requires, collaborates with Financials System Support Services and Research Decision support groups to ensure Financials system stability and problems' resolution.
Expertly forecasts required time and resources, provides status reports and follows established methodology.
Completes the duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision of senior personnel and/or management.
Leading Financials developers.
Responsible for development and support of payroll transfer functionality and workflow.
Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field;
Six (6) years of design and development experience with PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions, Financials/Contracts and Grants, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Portal, or other ERP system;
Six (6) years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and support.
Masters degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field;
Three (3) years of design and development experience with PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions, Financials/Contracts and Grants, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Portal, or other ERP system;
Three (3) years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and support.
PeopleSoft Developer 1 Certified Expert
4-year degree in Information Technology or Business related degree.
7+ years development experience with PeopleSoft Tools, Data management Tools and SQL tools or Similar Programming language or skill.
Experience with Component Interface, Application Server, Process Scheduler and experience using XML Publisher.
Responsible for data/code analysis, review of Technical Designs from other developers.
Review of PeopleSoft Application Bundle releases for object/Code changes.
Advance Knowledge of client/server applications, UNIX, MS Office Applications etc.
Experience writing technical documentation and procedures.
Willing to work off hours as required.
Salary Range: $80,000 – Commensurate with experience
