The Senior IT Audit Specialist plans, performs, and leads complex information technology, operational and compliance audits, delivers and/or leads advisory services and investigations. Is responsible for managing project assignments, budgets, and timelines to ensure the timely and effective completion of assigned projects. The Senior IT Audit Specialist must build effective relationships to cultivate the trust and respect of management and maintain a service-oriented approach in the delivery of work.
The Specialist must possess knowledge of IT general controls, an understanding of information technology infrastructures, network operating environments, network components (e.g. firewalls, routers), operating systems, servers, relational database management systems (e.g. SQL, Oracle), systems development life cycles, and information security management. Understands and applies IT frameworks such as COBIT and IT standards such as NIST.
