The MPAA’s Content Security Program is focused on strengthening security practices in the worldwide production and supply chain by ensuring our partners’ compliance with industry best practices and standards for management systems, physical security, digital security, application security and cloud security.
The Governance Manager will be responsible for leading the regulatory and governance aspects of the Qualified Assessor project for the Trusted Partner Network as part of the MPAA Content Security Program.
Conduct thorough review and recommendation of legal documents associated with the TPN and the Content Security Program
Liaise with TPN General Counsel and Board as appropriate
Advising TPN leadership on governance principles and risks to the venture
Develop and maintain such documentation as needed and perform revision control
Perform Governance review of our policies, procedures, practices in the ongoing management of the TPN
Act as primary point-of-contact for vetting third-party assessor candidates to become Qualified Assessors (QA) in the program
Liaise with outside accrediting bodies to understand and maintain best in class practices for our program
Conduct reference checks for QA candidates
Monitor Assessor quality and vendor feedback regarding assessors
Maintain an assessor database and provide for recertification scheduling/processing
In the event of appeals to qualification decisions, process such appeals and convene arbitration as required
Administer the TPN Logo / Certification program
Review access requests for new users to the TPN platform
Liaise with CDSA platform management / help / support as needed and for user provisioning
Interface with MPAA and CDSA communications teams regarding outside communications and website(s)
Develop presentations regarding the program and program data
Ongoing updates of governance practices, engagement documents, ethics and other legal controls.
Provide input to and liaise with Platform development team for upgrades and enhancements to the TPN platform
Test and implement latest versions and revisions of standards and platforms
Document retention and management
Develop and document all assessment processes and procedures from start to finish ensuring complete, effective, and timely operation of the TPN.
Assist in Training for such processes and procedures as well as emerging technical topics and changes to Best Practices.
Audit Management and other duties as required
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree B.A./B.S.
Certifications: CISSP and / or CISA or equivalent certification a plus
Minimum 2+ years combined experience in law or legal review
Experience in developing processes and exhibiting strategic thinking
Experience in presenting to senior management
Proven problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to anticipate and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
Ability to work with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical areas
Able to effectively communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing
Must possess the highest level of work ethic and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information
1-3 years experience in the entertainment or entertainment-related industry is preferred
Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international)
