POSITIONSUMMARY: Installs, administers, and maintains applications supporting security functions for all IT infrastructure, including SIEM, vulnerability management, PKI, DLP, and next-generation firewalls. Develops and writes scripts to automate processes associated with IT security applications. Participates as a member of the IT security incident response team. Performs duties as assigned by the Information Security Analyst to provide administration, automation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of information security tools and applications. Serves as a district-wide IT resource for cybersecurity operations, applications security, vulnerability assessment, and automation of IT security tools.
Implement and maintain information security tools and applications.
Administration of next-generation firewalls, data loss prevention, and end-point security products.
Develop scripts and tools to automate information security processes.
Assist with information security projects.
Monitor, tune, and respond to alerts from security tools and applications.
Perform web application and vulnerability assessments.
Analyze and communicate results of vulnerability assessments.
Other duties as assigned by the Information Security Analyst.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline or the equivalent work experience and education/training providing similar knowledge and skills.
Three (3) years relevant full-time experience.
Knowledge of scripting and programming (Python and/or PowerShell).
Ability to secure various operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Unix/Linux).
Ability to demonstrate high standards of personal and professional integrity.
Ability to problem-solve complex issues.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Previous experience with vulnerability assessment tools, next-gen firewalls, end-point security, and/or data loss prevention products is desirable.
Experience with Splunk, Rapid7 InsightVM, ForcePoint DLP, MS Windows PKI, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and/or REST APIs a plus.
