POSITION SUMMARY: To provide information systems auditing skills on various audits of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and its affiliated entities with respect to computer applications and technological issues in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditor's Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Code of Ethics and Internal Audit’s policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Conducts and participates in various information systems audits, operational audits, compliance audits and process improvement projects for LG Health and its affiliated entities.
Gains an understanding of the system or process being audited/reviewed.
Analyzes complex systems and/or processes to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the system/process and related controls.
Applies internal control concepts and experience to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various information systems, processes/areas/functions.
Performs audits/reviews in accordance with sound audit theory and in compliance with Internal Audit’s methodology and the IIA’s Professional Practices Standards.
Ensures all work papers supporting the review as well as the audit report, are clear and concise.
Independently prepares audit reports addressed to management and the Audit and Compliance Committee, highlighting deficiencies found and recommending the corrective action to be taken.
Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with all levels of the organization.
Discusses audit findings with management of the function being reviewed at exit conferences and follows up on significant audit recommendations to determine that appropriate action has occurred.
Coordinates the external financial statement audit work and acts as the liaison between the audit firm and Information Services.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Information Systems or Computer Science.
Certified Information Systems Auditor or other similar certification.
At least two (2) years of Information Systems auditing or four (4) years with a combination of experience in information systems and Internal or External Auditing.
Five (5) years of Information Systems auditing experience with various operating platforms (i.e. windows, mainframe, AIX, UNIX) preferred.
Two (2) years of Public Accounting experience preferred.
Experience with Electronic Health Records Applications preferred.
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Experience with VOIP and mobile communication devices preferred.
