BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. Administers the Audit Services function for the system. This includes the performance of audit risk analyses to identify exposure areas throughout the system, establish the scope of audit activity, determines audit priorities, plans and organizes departmental activity and effectively deploys audit staff.
Responsible for developing, coordinating and performing IT audits for BJC HealthCare. Duties include assessing the IT General Control (ITGC) environment, developing the appropriate audit methodolgy, performing detailed audit procedures, assessing the results, and effectively communicates the audit recommendations to all levels of management. Must be familiar with HIPAA and HiTech rules and regulations
Produces and compiles documents including correspondence, reports, proposals, meeting materials and minutes, spreadsheets, charts, letter-merges, and lists.
Plan and perform audits to evaluate the IT operations, applications, security practices, and technology infrastructre to assess the effectiveness of the controls design.
Monitor and follow-up on the status of audit recommendations.
Develop and maintain team and client professional relationships through providing assitance to the audit department team and participate on IT working groups as assigned.
Coordinates the audit work between the IT department and the contractor for any outsourced audit project.
