Our client is seeking a highly experienced IT Audit executive. This position is located in Connecticut. The primary role of the Director IT Audit is to oversee the preparation and execution of a comprehensive risk assessment and audit plan. The position is responsible for the Chief Information Officer portfolio of audits and the execution of audits that meet each department’s, as well as key stakeholder’s expectations. As Director IT Audit you are responsible for preparing well-written reports using the appropriate business and technical language. You will actively support the General Auditor in the coordination of all Audit Committee materials, including required communications and analyses. In addition, the Director IT Audit is expected to present periodically to the Audit Committee of the Board and to accompany the General Auditor to all Risk Committee meetings.
Reporting to the General Auditor, the Director IT Audit will have budget and hiring responsibility. The Director IT Audit has a total of six direct reports, including the VP Data Analytics, and the VP IT Portfolio Manager.
12+ years of total experience, with at least 5 in a supervisory capacity.
Extensive and proven experience with IT security and infrastructure.
In depth knowledge of and experience in IT audit practices, as well as CIS controls and standards (COBIT, NIST Framework) in financial services.
Knowledge of current and emerging IT, audit, and risk-related concepts and solutions.
Proven history of driving improvements in processes, technology, and staffing related to IT audit.
Ability to provide effective and appropriate advice and expertise to all levels within the company, including providing IT audit and risk advice and information to all levels of management.
Must be able to present and explain complicated concepts to audience of non-IT executives.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
