St Michael’s, Inc. is looking for an audit readiness consultant to provide expertise for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Alexandria, VA. The right candidate will have Auditing and/or FIAR experience and ideally some experience at DLA. The ideal candidate will have an active minimum public trust or current DoD security clearance. In some situations, we will sponsor clearances for US Citizens not holding dual citizenship.
Responsibilities: • Baseline Mapping: establish and maintain an understanding of the processes and controls that contribute to FFMIA compliance.
Perform quarterly maintenance and validation of the current baseline mapping to reflect changes in the underlying population of PCMs and SOPs and facilitate coordination with DLA's overall ERM program. Identify gaps in documented processes and controls in relation to the FFMIA compliance objectives. Coordinate the baseline mapping review with the applicable process owners.
Assist with the annual FFMIA assessmentt, reporting, and compliance process.
Gather results of control testing activities and coordinate review for impact on FFMIA compliance.
Identify and track compliance indicators such as audit results, NFRs, CAPs, and SOC 1 reports for impact on FFMIA compliance.
Consolidate the evaluation of the compliance indicators into an FFMIA compliance risk profile in support of the development of the annual SOA. • Audit readiness experience with focus on internal controls • Performs tasks and activities assigned by task order managers
Desired Skills & Experience: • Advanced Degree or Certification (CPA, CIA, CDFM, PMP, etc.); • Outstanding organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail; • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Required: • US Citizen not holding dual citizenship • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting; • 10 years of DoD Accounting and Financial experience, including at least one year prior experience with FFMIA in a federal agency; • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
