The role of a Senior Auditor is to add value and improve operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The senior auditor will possess a thorough knowledge of the audit profession, Bank processes, and sound judgment. This role primarily leads system and district audits; including operational, financial, information technology, compliance, and project audits. Auditors also provide consulting and advisory services to the organization’s management and staff.
Lead in the execution of high quality audit services in an independent and objective manner in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) while meeting quality and timeliness standards.
Obtain and analyze complex business area documentation driving risk-based audit assessments and the development of corresponding plans and procedures.
Effectively delegate work to assisting auditors, provide coaching, and review working papers to ensure quality standards are met.
Identify and communicate reportable audit issues while using business acumen and judgement to make recommendations for resolution and improvement.
Prepare and present audit reports to senior management while conducting follow-up activities as required.
Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and relate to others in a respectful manner.
Leverage technology, automated audit tools, and data analytics to provide insightful perspectives and deliver audit services in an effective and efficient manner.
Assess the effectiveness of programs or projects to achieve their intended business outcomes and benefits.
Provide on-going advisory services to assigned businesses.
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in: Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or other business related degree or commensurate experience
5 years audit or related business experience
Professional certification is preferred; including but not limited to Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), and Project Management Professional (PMP)
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Computer Assisted Audit Techniques experience a plus
Strong relationship management skills
Ability to work effectively on teams
Position requires US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with three or more years of US residency
