The Senior Auditor is responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of operational and compliance audits, as well as other consulting engagements. The Senior Auditor should have knowledge of audit methodology, procedures and practices as well as internal audit standards, tools, and techniques. The Senior Auditor will demonstrate and maintain technical competency in accounting and audit areas, build strong relationships with personnel from various business functions and develop a strong understanding of the business and industry.
Assessment of risks and development of audit work programs for assigned audit areas
Document business processes, risks and controls within assigned areas through the interview process
Perform and document audit testing procedures in accordance with professional audit standards
Prepare audit reports and communicate results and recommendations to management
Track and monitor management action plans and the remediation of audit observations
Assist in the risk assessment process
Assist in the preparation of the annual audit plan
Conduct ad hoc consulting engagements, as required
All audits completed on schedule. Effective collaboration with business process leaders. Conduct root cause analysis of audit finding and develop value added recommendations based on these analyses. Using a risk-based approach, provide recommendations to enhance risk mitigation while minimizing the burden to the business.
Job Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required
CPA, CIA or other equivalent certification is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of relevant audit or accounting experience preferred
Public accounting experience is preferred
Exposure to the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
Sound knowledge of risk management and audit principles and an understanding of audit philosophy, methods and techniques
Demonstrate unquestionable integrity and professionalism
Self-motivated and an effective team player
Positive attitude, desire for continuous learning and embraces innovation and technology
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Establish and maintain effective relationships with management and internal clients
