General Objective: Provides Financial and Operations coordination for the school in the areas of fiscal, facilities, and human resources. Managing revenue growth profitably and optimize costs of continuing operations.
Reports To: Head of School
Supervises: Bookkeeper and Outsourced Contracts
Type of Position: Full time exempt.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fiscal Supervision of Institution-
Manage accounting system data integrity, performing analysis and running fiscal reports as needed
Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and payroll .
Oversee and implement benefits program, 403b, insurance/dental, remission and other insurances.
Oversee IT vendor in collaboration with office manager
Ensure monthly bank reconciliations and provide the Finance Committee with monthly financial reports. Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
Ensure collection process is followed on a timely basis (collection letters and phone calls and separation procedures). Review monthly and update Head of School about any issues.
Collaborate in tuition assistance process and other tuition processes with Enrollment Director and Enrollment Committee
Attend Faculty Meetings as requested by faculty leadership to review reports and status of budget
Work with Head of School on budget creation and management; monitoring and reporting and internal controls, human resources planning and implementation
Attend meetings of Board of Trustees in an advisory capacity during budget process and other times requested by HOS
Provide Core Group of Teachers with budget reports as requested
Oversee Annual Audit
Participate in strategic planning
Lower costs through optimization of people, processes, technologies
Other duties as assigned
School Participation and teamwork:

Confidentiality: Required to respect the confidentiality of information about enrolled children and families, personnel issues, and other school operations.
Training: In consultation with HOS develop own professional work goals and training plan
BA in Accounting or equivalent
Ability and desire to work cooperatively as a member of a team
School experience preferred or equivalent experience in non-profit management
Strong and innovative finance and organizational leadership
Experience and knowledge of fiscal administration
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database management (Office 365 and QuickBooks)
Ability to organize, prioritize, and be logical in approach to work
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
Ability to meet the public
Ability to handle sensitive and sometimes conflicting financial situations with families in a proactive manner.
