Department Overview The Cyber Threat Management (CTM) team is responsible for monitoring the cyber threat landscape, developing innovative security solutions, and performing proactive security assessments that mitigate the organization's exposure to Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), Advanced Evasion Techniques (AET), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attacks, Hacktivism, Cyber Crime, Malware, and other categories of online attacks targeting the financial services industry.
About the Role Our Enterprise Information Security team is looking for an Information Security Manager to join our Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring Team. The Information Security Manager will lead and manage Cyber Threat Engineering, Cyber Security Innovation and Vulnerability Assessment teams with in Cyber Threat Management functions in EGS, and will be responsible for its overall delivery.
As an information security expert, lead and manage a high performance team of security engineers focused on driving success of software engineering & development, innovation, and enterprise vulnerability assessment related capabilities within EGS Cyber Threat Management function
Play a role of an architect / engineer in designing, developing and implementing secure content (scripts, programs, tools or applications), alongside a highly agile development team for infrastructure security solutions.
Lead, architect, implement and operate infrastructure security solutions and its components (preferably Tanium Endpoint Security or similar solution), across a large and diverse enterprise, including configuration, patch management, and administration efforts
Lead vulnerability assessment processes and activities related to infrastructure vulnerability scanning, reviewing / risk analysis, prioritizing results, and / or coordinating the remediation of assessment results across Lines of Business.
Lead and manage any incident response and investigation efforts leveraging enterprise vulnerability solutions and other infrastructure security solutions.
Provide complex technical guidance, oversight, and enforcement of security directives, policies, standards, plans, and procedures
Provide leadership and direction to identify, recruit, develop and grow resources for the team and its associated functions.
Stays abreast cyber security trends, threats, vulnerabilities, including and especially those influencing the financial services industry and banking sector.
Market Skills and Certifications
Close to 10 years of engineering / architect / consulting experience dealing with software development life cycle (SDLC) and information security domains (preferably infrastructure security and / or vulnerability management). Infrastructure engineering lifecycle (IELC) experience a plus.
Minimum 5 years of practical hands-on experience dealing with the areas of engineering and development, testing, deployment, integration and enhancements on cross platforms (server and workstation environments with different operating systems (Windows, *nix and Mac))
Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in the Financial Services Industry, preferably in an information security engineering & development roles
Track record in providing direct oversight and strategic direction and development of secure information technologies
In depth experience and working knowledge of enterprise security controls including endpoint security solutions and suites, firewalls, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions
Working experience with assessing and managing security controls in an enterprise environment.
Prior experience with application development lifecycle and automating complex processes
Experience leading and managing large complex projects
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science or information systems
CISSP, CEH, SANS related or other relevant certifications, infrastructure security product / solutions specific trainings or certifications
Knowledgeable of the Financial Services industry cyber security technologies landscape.
Experience operating in a global matrixed team member environment
Experience with establishing and/or managing an advanced information security teams
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
Strong leadership, technical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines required
