The University of Missouri Kansas City is seeking applicants for an Information Security Analyst position. The Security Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures for information systems. Team members in this role will work to identify vulnerabilities in the IT infrastructure (software, hardware, networks, physical environment). Daily activities will include using investigative tools to identify and detect vulnerabilities, recommend and implement tools and solutions; responds and remediate breaches and other security events; compliance testing of security policies and procedures; training and project management. The ability to manage time, communicate and collaborate with individuals at different levels of technical skills is important. Information Security is a 24x7x365 duty and some weekend and evening work should be expected in this role. This person will be required to have a cell phone so we can communicate during non-business hours when necessary.

Firewall and group policy design/management
Administrative account management
Audit log system management
Training (researchers, faculty, staff, students, outside entities related to the university)
Security prevention areas (Phishing/DLP)
Bi-campus security work in the University of Missouri System
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field required; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; and at least three years of experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Ability to hold and maintain US National Security Clearance
Current CISSP, CISA, GIAC, CEH, or similar certifications compatible with ISO 17024 or US DoD 8570.01
Experience in the oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement security program (to include but not limited to self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.)
Experience in the execution and management of Information System s (IS) incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the Investigations department Experience with at least one programming or scripting language
Experience with technical concepts like regular expressions, data normalization, and correlation
Familiarity with modern cyber-security frameworks
Familiarity with OPSEC, security declassification, and security requirements before releasing CUI FAR
Familiarity with CMMC a plus
Active US National Security Clearance
