Business information security leaders report to a group information security leader in the information security front line and provide front-line-specific information security consulting and reporting to their aligned front-line leadership. They are responsible for assisting their respective group information security leaders in carrying out their responsibilities. Business information security leaders rely on risk assessment performed by the information security consultants and suggested risk mitigations recommended by Enterprise Information Security Architecture (EISA). Business information security leaders and group information security leaders work together to ensure that the aligned businesses receive consistent information security reporting, consulting, and risk mitigation strategies.
The person selected for this opportunity will be responsible for ensuring that Information Security is adequately represented on relevant business and governance and is well integrated within Information Technology. Will be accountable for strategic partnering with the senior leaders who are responsible for applications represented within Innovation Technology. This leader will be providing information security advice while coordinating with other Information Security teams. Will ensure that clear and timely business advice is provided on key information security issues during pre-deployment and post-deployment of all applications.
The successful candidate must recognize that he/she is a facilitator and business leader with responsibility for serving the Innovation Technology teams in implementing information security risk strategies that will enable achievement of strategic objectives. This key executive will provide subject matter expertise and pro-actively identify risk based security solutions.
Information and Cyber Security and IT Strategy Planning and Analytics Responsibilities may include:
Proactively build security practices within a Line of Business (LOB).
Provide technical understanding of existing and emerging information security risks for LOB area.
Provide LOB views to the Information Security senior leadership ensuring LOB views are represented within the Information Security organization.
Provide strategic-level consultation to Senior Technology Managers regarding long and short range information security risks and requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future directions of both business and information technology.
The location of this position is flexible within the continental United States.
10+ years of experience in information technology, information security, or combination of both
5+ years of leadership experience in one or a combination of the following: information security, risk management or information technology security consulting
Experience developing and implementing information security strategies across a complex organization
Experience with information security and risk management, including information security assessment, mitigation solution design/implementation, policy and standards
Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong collaboration and partnering skills
Other Desired Qualifications
12+ years of recent and relevant experience in information security;
Experience working across senior executive levels. Proven ability to confidently interact, positively influence and build trusting relationships with senior business and technology leaders while effectively and constructively leading change;
Demonstrated track record of continuous innovation, effective execution and getting results while embracing openness to new approaches and bringing together diverse points of view to create consensus and a clear direction;
Ability to define a clear picture of the future direction and objectives of the organization and develop comprehensive implementation plans;
Presentation and large group facilitation experience with ability to present complex information security solutions in simple business terms; Demonstrated success building organizational capability including high performing teams, process, and technology.
Demonstrated technical acumen: depth and breadth of expertise, keen insight and creativity, ability to connect and synthesize ideas, ingenuity and imagination in problem-solving;
Ability to serve as a role model in demonstrating a commitment to diversity and Wells Fargo's culture and core values.
