The Manager Operational Risk Management and Information Technology is responsible to maintain and support the enterprise-wide operational risk management framework for oversight and independent assessment of internal or external controls established to minimize risks of cyber and information security threats to Concentra’s business processes, critical systems or data. This is achieved by maintaining and supporting various IT Corporate Policies and Management Guidelines in order to protect Bank and customer IT driven safety and security and business operations, overseeing the first line of defense cyber and IT management and control practices and standards, and participating in development and delivery of mandatory enterprise-wide training programs. This position is responsible for ensuring an adequate Corporate Insurance Risk Management (CIRM) process to finance and/or transfer the risk of catastrophic loss from criminal, business interruption, property, liability and processing exposures. This includes management and administration of insurable losses and claims handling.
This position is responsible to oversee the Bank’s information technology, cyber security and business continuity risk management framework, including the risk monitoring, identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting and training. Working in collaboration with the first line of defense, this position monitors, evaluates and reports IT emerging risks and uncertainties which could have a material impact on the successful achievement of corporate objectives and implementation of strategic priorities. Third party IT risk management is included. The Manager Operational Risk is also responsible for conducting analysis on identified cyber incidents and vulnerabilities that may impact the Bank’s operations, and ensuring incidents are adequately addressed, providing guidance and independent oversight.
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business administration or commerce complemented by a professional designation in finance or accounting
3-5 years of experience in an operational risk and/or information technology risk oversight role in a financial institution
Risk Management Certifications such as ISACA’s Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Canadian Risk Management Designation (CRM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) would be considered assets
