Job Description The SVP - Enterprise Data Strategy will assist in the development and implementation of a multi-year Enterprise Data strategy. He/She will partner with stakeholder Business and Technology teams to drive the data strategy forward, define clear domain ownership boundaries and implement a proper control framework to allow for complete and accurate data as it flows through the data supply chain. The role also will assess and drive integration opportunities to gain operational efficiencies, optimize product offerings and deliver a compelling client value proposition. This leader will ensure that the firms' data/insights (both that produced by the firm as well as consumed by the firm) are leveraged to their full potential. Key deliverables in partnership with the other Enterprise Data activities for this role are:
Refine and drive the Data Management strategy and lead the work to implement across the company
Measure and demonstrate progress to an improved data organization
Bring siloed organizations together to work towards a common strategy
Create and sustain a vibrant data organization, cross LOB partnerships, technologies, processes and policies
Influence at multiple levels of the organization and multiple priorities to continue to make progress
Work closely with the technology organizations to create and environment and architecture that makes data accessible to appropriate channels of access controls
Manage and oversee the delivery of projects necessary to achieve the strategy with an eye towards business process redesign.
Provide thought leadership in proper implementation of processes and tools that best align with the organization's strategic objectives.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS or Business
8-10 years of Data Management experience (strategy, governance, management, quality, analytics, etc.)
Strong track record of strategy development, creative and critical thinking, business case development/delivery in a regulated environment
Ability to build, lead, influence and motivate teams through times of change
Excellent communication skills with respect to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels of the organization
Demonstrates high EQ and self-awareness. Inspires teams to engage, innovate and deliver
Passion for end to end solutions and delighting the end user through effective listening and expectation management
