Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.
Completes internal audits, reviews, and special projects with a concentration on information systems as an independent appraisal activity within the City.
Performs audits of IT general controls, application controls, information security, operating systems, database structures and functions.
Performs audits of Local Area Networks, telecommunications, pre and post-implementations of application systems, business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
This position performs as a member of an audit team in conducting operational, performance, compliance, and financial audits of the various administrative departments, divisions and programs of the City in accordance with the professional standards of Internal Audit.
Professionally interacts at the executive level with department heads, division managers, City officials, and professional organizations.
Audit results are communicated to the City Auditor and/or Audit Office Staff and City Management through written reports and verbal presentations.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Information Technology.
Licenses or Certifications
Must become a candidate for audit or information systems certification within six (6) months of date of hire.
Must achieve certification in accordance with CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or IIA (CIA, Certified Internal Auditor) guidelines and timeframe.
Must have a valid Florida Driver's License or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire
