The Enterprise Risk Management Technology team is seeking a web-related developer with automated build experience. This development position will serve as a specialist in supporting technologies around vendor tools. Going forward, it is expected that new technologies and tools will need to be learned to support our vendor tools. This developer must also have experience in use of code repositories and the integration of those repositories into automated build processes.
This team member will work in a team environment to lead complex platform initiatives, research new technology tools, design complex solutions, implement software solutions, write unit test, and test new development against business requirements across multiple applications. Additionally, all phases of our development lifecycle must 100% SDLC compliant around this work. Team member will be a key player in determining our technology stack with emerging technologies that will enhance future technology solutions.
This position is a key element to our team structure and acts as an integration point that links our onshore and offshore technology partners to support production processes and build tools to improve them.
Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:
Manages and support the delivery of high profile technology products and services.
Acts as the single point of contact for the client and the appropriate technical groups from solution planning to sizing/estimating to fulfillment.
Influences technology selection by gathering and reviewing customer information, working with technology teams to determine if custom solution is necessary, and recommend best option to the customer.
Provides guidance on leveraging new technology. Requests sizing estimates and reviews for reasonableness.
Ensures service quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
Monitors high profile projects to ensure requests are met on time and within sizing, keeping all parties informed of impacts and changes.
Maintains regular contact with senior management within Technology and the supported business unit.
Conducts research and analysis of competitive market environment for innovative business products and services, regulatory/compliance issues, and implications of new implementations.
Leads implementation of complex projects/initiatives impacting one or more lines of business.
Understands and ensures compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and works with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
Primary interface with Financial Industry Leaders for 2-4 business lines.
Supports interfaces with Technology Industry Leaders, Analysts and Regulators.
7+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years of operational risk, conduct risk or compliance domain experience
5+ years of compliance and controls testing experience
4+ years of experience working with derivatives and securities products in any of the following areas: technology, finance, regulatory reporting, risk, middle office or operations
4+ years of technical documentation and publication experience
4+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
4+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
3+ years of environment test coordination, code deployment, release management and communication experience
3+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of fraud management: with fraud management applications such as Actimize
2+ years of Actimize experience
Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: estimating, staffing, managing, controlling, administering, budgeting, and executing
A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctor (JD)
Other Desired Qualifications
7+ years of banking or financial regulations experience
3+ years of experience with Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management routines
Experience to manage technology delivery, educate the business on technology options, lead enterprise level initiatives and ensure that expectations are set and delivered on time and budget.
Familiar with Automated Scheduling (like batch/Autosys) and file transfer concepts
Familiar with both hosted and cloud applications
Experience working with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and exercise
Past project experience using agile/scrum is highly desired
Must be able to provide examples that they have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple technology initiatives at the same time.
