The Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Technology team is seeking a Software Engineer/ Consultant who should be able to manage stakeholders, SaaS based applications, process and policy management as well as core engineering work. This could include gathering business requirements, designing technical specifications and solutions, recommending direction and approach on technical projects, develop solutions as needed. The candidate should have experience in an Agile environment and understand Agile best practices. The Enterprise Marketing Technology team currently supports over 40 different Marketing applications, mostly SaaS based, but many internally managed as well. The applications support many functions of the Marketing Team, with focus on creative services, microsite management and hosting, digital asset management and more. The team is looking for someone to be an agile partner to think creatively, deliver efficiency, and help drive Marketing success through technology strategy.
Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:
Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation within agile teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs using Agile development practices.
Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with Marketing Technology including, upgrades and deployments.
Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate Marketing Technologies with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.
5+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of VB.NET experience
3+ years of relational database experience
3+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
Ability to work outside of regular business hours
