Under general direction, the Information Technology (IT) Audit Manager assists in the planning and development of the CSU IT audit function, including the determination of the areas of significant risk and exposure. The IT Audit Manager develops and maintains collaborative relationships with IT management to understand risks, performs risk assessments, and develops campus and Chancellor’s Office IT audit plans. They also research assigned IT audit subjects; develop IT audit programs, including corresponding resource materials; supervise, guide, motivate, train, and evaluate assigned IT auditors; and contribute to staff development.
The IT Audit Manager evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the management controls over the IT activities reviewed; ensures conformance with acceptable audit and report standards, techniques, plans, budgets, and schedules; and keeps abreast of IT audit trends and new techniques. They also appraise the adequacy of IT audit responses and corrective actions and perform special reviews and projects as assigned. The IT Audit Manager attends various CSU IT affinity group meetings (e.g., CIO Council, ISAC, etc.) and manages IT advisory services projects when requested.
This position requires:
-Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, accounting, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
-Minimum of eight years’ experience in IT/systems auditing.
-CISA and/or CIA certification required.
-CPA certification and knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or UNIX a plus.
