Ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for financial planning and a good sense of humor. He or she will possess strong organizational and computer skills. We are seeking a person eager to learn and develop expertise in new subjects.
Responsibilities include both basic and advanced levels of paraprofessional support for financial planning practice activities and gradually interacting with clients. We expect you to have the ability and initiative to work independently and to plan for professional advancement within the firm.
Assist lead Financial Planners in preparing for client meetings and post-client meeting tasks through completion
Conducting and assisting with research and compiling data that supports the development of client recommendations
Delegate, coordinate and track administrative tasks (such as client paperwork) to be completed by Administrative Support team
Learning and using software for planning, income tax projections, portfolio and investment analysis, and other financial planning applications
Taking initiative on major long-term projects, such as workflow and documenting systems
Maintaining a cordial and professional demeanor in all client and team interactions
Responding to client communications in a clear and professional manner
Progressing toward earning the Certified Financial Planner™ designation or pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Planning, Accounting or Business with a minimum of 2 years’ study
Have strong analytical and financial skills and be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Be able to manage and prioritize tasks and projects through to their successful conclusion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be trustworthy, ethical, hard-working, and professional
Experience with eMoney Advisor and in tax and/or student loan matters would be beneficial
