Position overview- It is the goal of our Accounting Department to provide quality exceptional service to our internal and external clients. This position assumes overall responsibility for external reporting and compliance with financial accounting standards, with related supervisory responsibilities and employee engagement. The Accounting Director will be a true partner with the Finance Director and Chief Accounting Officer to ensure accurate and efficient monthly financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, and oversight of general accounting and finance functions with adherence to appropriate internal accounting controls.
Prepare and present financial reporting to management in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Develop appropriate plans and processes for timely compliance with new financial accounting standards
Responsibility for Allowance for Loan Loss modelling in coordination with the Credit Department
Responsibility for corporate tax calculations and filings
Manage employees responsible for regulatory reporting and various reconciliations to ensure accuracy and conformity with deadlines
Partner with Finance leadership in efficient month-end accounting close processes
Prepare year-end financial statements for presentation to the Audit Committee
Manage the general ledger chart of accounts and oversee key controls for financial accounting purposes
Performance of corporate shareholder accounting responsibilities
Participate in the development of relevant financial metrics and related reporting utilizing, as appropriate, Prologue, Excel, Business Analytics and other tools
Participate in and support the annual budget process as assigned

Minimum Qualifications -
5+ years of experience working in a financial services finance, accounting or audit role
4-Year Undergraduate Degree, with an Accounting focus, or equivalent education/experience
3+ years in a managerial capacity
Experience with spreadsheet applications / Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all Bank business confidential
Certified Public Accountant
Background in SOX, mergers and acquisitions, or SEC filings are beneficial
Experience using FISERV Prologue accounting software
Experienced database user (Access, Business Objects, Business Analytics, etc.)
Power Excel User (Pivotables, Vlookup, etc.)
