The USC Viterbi School of Engineering (http://viterbi.usc.edu) at the University of Southern California seeks outstanding faculty candidates for teaching-track positions (Lecturer or higher rank) to teach undergraduate-level courses offered by our Information Technology Program (http://itp.usc.edu). These are full-time, benefits-eligible teaching faculty positions on the non-tenure track. Competitive candidates will have the training, knowledge, and experience necessary to teach effectively undergraduate-level courses in one or more of the following areas of particular interest:

We are interested in candidates from all topical areas covered in our Information Technology Program (ITP), an academic unit in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Â We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and willing to contribute to engagement with, and inclusion of, students from a wide range of disciplines and cultural backgrounds.Â The positions require the majority of time to be spent on teaching and teaching-related duties, with no obligation for research, but with expectation for engaging in some service to our students, the program, the School, the University, and the profession at large. Â While we seek applications at the rank of Lecturer, applicants with longer and more accomplished teaching experience may also be considered for a commensurate higher-ranked position (e.g., Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor of Practice, or Professor of Practice).Â

ITP is a unique and innovative program within the USC Viterbi School of Engineering that provides technology education to students in majors from all across USC. Its 17 full-time and 25+ part-time faculty have built a collaborative community passionate about teaching and seeing students succeed. ITP provides engineering education to thousands of students from many majors, helping to guide students toward technical interests and career paths. This program offers courses in many areas, including the following: programming, web and mobile development, video game design and programming, digital security and forensics, 3D computer graphics, cloud computing, connected devices, applied analytics, enterprise information systems, computing education, and digital entrepreneurship.
