This position reports to the Director of Policy within the Enterprise Data Management team. The Policy team is responsible for defining and maintaining the enterprise-wide data management policies, standards, and procedures and federating compliance with the standards across the global enterprise. They are also responsible monitoring Data Management as a risk and building a data literacy program. This includes:
Writing and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the needs of the business are met.
Develop and implement a governance framework and roadmap
Monitoring compliance with policies and assessing the enterprise's data maturity and setting maturity goals and defining metrics.
Partnering with the business Data Leaders to embed the principles in the policies throughout the enterprise.
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data privacy, and ethics standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert for data management as a risk category.
The candidate should have
Experience writing enterprise-wide policies and procedures.
Knowledge of industry leading data governance, data quality, and data protection practices.
Extensive experience in the financial industry is preferred.
Risk management experience is preferred.
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience preferred in protecting data as defined by the organizations security policy or its standard IT practices, controlling and granting access to an organizations documents or electronic files, ensuring data transfers from source systems to functional enterprise systems, managing a functional data environment including architecture, technology, performance, change management, continuity/availability and security/access, serving in a data governance role in financial services.
