The Data Management department in Asia is a key hub within Schroders Global Data Management functions providing Schroders's client base a range of data services including market data management, securities and index data management and client and portfolio data management. Services are provided directly to internal clients across Investment, Distribution, and Infrastructure divisions within the firm. Working within the Asia Pacific Data Management team based in Singapore, an exciting opportunity has been created to support and progress the provision of high-quality Data Management to the Global Investment teams.
Overview of role
Support the day-to-day management of reference data for Pricing, Index and Benchmark data delivery to key global stakeholders
Perform active review and analysis of illiquid securities and recommend appropriate pricing proposals to Asian Pricing Committee
Proactive management of risks and controls, working with Operational risk and Audit to ensure an effective control environment. Effective management of errors and omissions in the operating model including root cause analysis and changes to the control environment to prevent re-occurrence and exposure to further errors
Ensure all processes and procedures are updated and in compliance with the group's directive
Continual review and improvement to workflow, systems and processes through automations, innovation, and adoption of new technologies
Support execution of global and regional data projects, ensuring smooth implementation
Instil and build up data governance and stewardship framework for Asia Pacific for Pricing and Benchmark management
Provide oversight and work with outsource vendor to manage daily deliverables
Provide and arrange vendor meetups and minutes write up as part of Vendor management for APAC data management team
Good product knowledge across a wide range of investment classes including Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income and Multi-asset
Knowledge on pricing models and complex pricing valuation techniques
Service delivery oriented and able to work collaboratively across teams
Self-starter, able to prioritise, work on own initiative and under pressure, and focus on continuous improvement, quality, and delivery
Effective communication skills, written, presentational and verbal
Demonstrable business analysis skills, strong analytical and numerical skills
Experience in managing relationships with Data vendors
Good technical skills around data interrogation and analysis, typically SQL and excel
Experience with usage of Aladdin and Markit Enterprise Data Management will be an advantage
