Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems or a closely related field; and five years of progressively responsible professional information technology experience involving network/systems infrastructure administration and security; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable. Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements: A valid Nevada driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments. Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), current CompTIA Security+ certification or comparable certifications with at least four years of comparable experience is required. Information Security & Compliance Analyst- Security The ideal candidate will be able to analyze policy, trends, and intelligence to better understand how a cybersecurity threat actor may think or act, using deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills to develop appropriate countermeasures; possess the ability to work collaboratively with other units and departments to optimize the effectiveness of the District's and SNWA's cybersecurity program; will have experience with Incident Response and case management; and demonstrate proficiency in the Linux operating system, Powershell and/or other shell scripting skills, Penetration Testing experience, secure coding standards, and DevSecOps. Knowledge of and/or experience in Agile/Scrum development processes is desirable. Information Security & Compliance Analyst- TPR The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work collaboratively with other divisions to optimize the effectiveness of the District/SNWA software, hardware, and vendor due diligence program and diplomatically work with people throughout the organization on an individual basis; will be able to analyze policy, information security risk, and product vulnerabilities to assist business units in selecting technology and services with minimal risk to the organization; and will be familiar with understanding federal, state, and local legislation to identify emerging regulatory and compliance obligations.
