Support Office of Data Governance to facilitate decision making in order to achieve NYU’s data governance goals, which focus on policy development and coordination, stewardship, definitions and standards, and communications. Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to achieve the goals defined in the enterprise data governance and enterprise data management strategies. Use data analysis and predictive models to monitor data quality, identify data quality issues and trends, oversee remediation plans, implement data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Data Management or equivalent discipline
Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience in data governance/data management/quality assurance
Preferred Experience: 2+ years Related experience in higher education, and particularly in Data Governance.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with desktop office suite and ad hoc data management tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to present complex information to senior administrators in a non-technical manner. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Collibra or Analytix DS (or similar Data Management applications)
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $105,000.
