Under the direction of the Deputy County Auditor, performs system implementation reviews of newly developed or acquired information systems; reviews and tests existing automated systems for efficiency, adequacy of controls and reliability. Provides input to County Auditor for the development of an annual Information Technology (IT) audit plan, establishes procedures for auditing systems and updates the department in matters related to systems. Monitors compliance with County information system policies to ensure adequate provision for system control and security. Collaborates with other auditors in work related to systems. Shares IT knowledge enabling auditors to keep abreast of IT audit issues and risks. Performs other duties as assigned.
