Director of Finance
Allegheny College
Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Director of Finance. The position is a full time, exempt position reporting to the CFO/VP of Finance and Administration. The Office of Finance manages all of the accounting functions of the College. This position is responsible for assessing financial performance and the financial state of the College through financial enterprise data management, documents, business reporting, financial and budget forecasting and policies. This position manages treasury matters including (but not limited to) monitoring cash flow, liquidity, and compliance, as well as investment management. This position oversees the external audit, IRS Tax form 990, and other external reports as needed to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This position provides strong leadership and management skills while effectively supervising staff and building an effective team. Oversees and supervises the Financial Services departments and the multi-fund accounting system . collaborates with senior leadership, departments, various committees, students, alumni, and Board of Trustees on financial needs. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting plus 10 years experience. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to operate efficiently with multiple tasks assigned, and must be highly organized with an attention to detail and confidentiality.
