Vice President & Controller
College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME)
Job Purpose The Vice President, Controller is responsible for the overall management and integrity of financial information and systems for the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and all of its related entities (CHIME). This includes timely completion of the annual audit and 990s; month-end close process as well as the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance team; departmental staffing; financial statements and analysis; financial policy & procedures (in conformity with GAAP and CHIME policy); internal controls; policies and procedures; revenue recognition; general ledger activity; accounts payable/receivable; and compliance. Serves as counsel, team member and/or partner in the provision and analysis of financial data; training and training plans for accounting and non-accounting staff on financial management (policy & procedures, budget, etc.); evaluation and implementation of new or current programs, products or services for all related entities. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will support the CFO in the financial reporting and budgeting process, benchmarking and process improvement.
