This position is an essential employee. They are responsible for ensuring all BCCC campuses are safe. They report any suspicious activities to their supervisor. They ensure students, faculty, and administrators are safe.

• Patrol campus and report suspected crimes, accidents, or activities of questionable/suspicious nature;
• Write detailed report of incidents that occur on campus;
• Conduct radio communications including serving as dispatcher as required
• Enforce parking and traffic control for designated special events;
• Secure, inspect, and open College buildings and facilities;
• Maintains logs for visitors and other personnel;
• Maintain records and reports
• Answer and reset fire alarms;
• Raises and lowers flags;
• May train lower-level building security officers.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED

Experience:

• Two (2) years of experience serving as a public safety officer or security guard.
