Job DescriptionPosition?s primary ongoing responsibility is for management of a diverse and impactful portfolio of enterprise Academic and Student Affairs technology projects (e.g., NextGen Student companion projects procurement). Position focuses on accomplishing project objectives by consulting, planning, facilitating, executing and evaluating project components to ensure successful project completion and service implementation while keeping project stakeholders and sponsors fully informed. In particular, this NextGen project manager will lead the development, management, and oversight of contractual relationships and resources at Minnesota State, with a particular emphasis on system-wide and master contracts.Salary Range:$37.07 - $61.14/hourly ($77,402 - $127,660/annually)Minimum QualificationsFive (5) years of increasingly responsible project management experience, including experience successfully managing large complex IT or procurement/contract vendor management projects. A bachelor's degree can substitute for one (1) year of professional experience.Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end procurement processes for large-scale IT projects within a public sector or higher education environment, including RFPs, RFIs, and/or RFQs.Familiarity with public procurement laws, policies, and ethical standards, including competitive bidding, transparency requirements and vendor selection.Ability to provide leadership and demonstrate ability to lead multiple project teamsDemonstrated commitment to working with diverse clients, stakeholders and students, fostering a diverse working and learning environment.Advanced interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholdersStrong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationMasters?s degree in technology, business, logistics, procurement, or related fieldFormal project management certification such as PMBOK, PMP or PMIDemonstrated anti-racist outcomes in project management, specifically removing barriers that impact minoritized communities or achieving culturally relevant resultsSelf-motivated and demonstrates ability to be goal focused and results driven, including driving project related risks, issues and concerns to closureExperience working in higher educationOther Requirementsn/aWork Shift (Hours / Days of work)Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmTelework (Yes/No)YesAboutMinnesota State is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing talented employees who serve our 270,000 students each year throughout the state. With its 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota. The colleges and universities operate 54 campuses in 47 Minnesota communities and serve about 250,000 students in credit-based courses. Overall, the system produces about 33,500 graduates each year. In addition to credit-based courses, the system offers customized training programs that serve about 153,200 employees from 6,000 Minnesota businesses each year. The law creating the system was passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1991 and went into effect July 1, 1995. The law merged the state's community colleges, technical colleges and state universities into one system. The system is separate from the University of Minnesota.
