Hennepin Technical College seeks an Information Technology Adjunct Instructor dedicated to excellence in career and technical education. This position supports the college's Information Technology(ITEC)programs by preparing students for careers in areas such asartificial intelligence and data analytics.

Examples of Duties:
Teachonlinelectureand lab classes in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis
Implement curriculum aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies
Integrate hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that reflect real-world IT environments and practices
Assess student learning outcomes and incorporate continuous improvement strategies into instructional practices
Support student success through inclusive teaching methods, accessibility, regular communication, and availability for student support
Maintain current knowledge of IT industry trends, tools, certifications, and best practices to ensure relevant instruction
Participate in department activities including curriculum planning, textbookselection, scheduling, and program improvement initiatives
Engage in college service through committee participation, professional development, and collaboration with faculty and staff
Build andmaintainrelationships with industry partners to support student career pathways and workforce alignment
Support and advance the mission of the college through innovative ideas, projects, and student-centered practices
Collaborate with other ITEC faculty to support required curriculum development and learning outcomes - assessments
Salary Range:
Adjunct = $775 to $1650 Per Semester Credit
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement
Associate degree in a computer or information technology field.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in computer programming.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five yearsimmediatelypreceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
